Review Kit Contents
Your Minoxidil Response Test provides you with all the materials you’ll need to collect your hair samples. Before getting started, please read the instructions carefully.
Register Your Kit
First, visit dalabs360.com to activate your test kit. Use the specimen ID number and passcode on your specimen ID card to create your personal account.
Registration, sample collection, and shipping of your samples to DA Labs must occur within the same day to activate your kit.
How to Collect
Hair Samples
LIMITATIONS: Before you begin, avoid using any products with parabens, dandruff shampoo containing zinc pyrithione, and products with Minoxidil 24 hours before taking the test.

Wash & Disinfect
Wash your hands for 30 seconds
with warm, soapy water.
Disinfect the tweezers with
provided alcohol wipe.

Prep for Collection
Keep the hair collection card next to you.
Remove the liner from hair collection card to
reveal adhesive strip.
03.
Pluck 6 Hair Samples
Pluck one hair at a time from the thinning area of your scalp. Use a mirror to help you pluck 6 hairs with the provided tweezers, ensuring the hair bulb (the root tip of the strand) is intact.
If you’re having trouble plucking your hair samples, ask a friend or family member to help you.
Use the black side of the hair collection card to ensure you have collected a good sample with the hair bulb intact. Refer to the hair bulb image guide below.

Secure Hair Samples
Place the hair bulb at the top of the collection card where it reads “PLACE BULB HERE.” Use the adhesive strip to secure the hair. DO NOT place the bulb on the adhesive.
Repeat the steps with at least 6 plucked hair samples exhibiting the hair bulb. Trim any excess hair that extends below the adhesive strip.

Close the hair collection card by folding the top of the card down over your hair samples. Fold the bottom panel up to fully enclose the samples.

Seal Hair Samples
Peel off the security label from the specimen ID card.
Seal the hair collection card with the security label.
Fill out your last name, first name, and your date of birth.
07.
Return Prepaid Mailer
Place hair collection card in prepaid mailer.
Seal and send the same day of collecting samples.
Results
in 6-8 Weeks
You will receive an email notification from DA Labs letting you know when your results are available. Once notified, you can log into your DA Labs account to find out if Minoxidil works for you.
If you are a responder, you can confidently proceed with Minoxidil treatments. If your results show that you are a non-responder, it can be disappointing initially, but you can now save valuable time and money and focus your efforts on other solutions for hair loss.
IMPORTANT
- Registration, sample collection and shipping of your samples to DA Labs MUST occur on the same day.

Hair specimens exposed to temperatures ≥44 degrees C (≥111 degrees F) are not acceptable for testing.
- A temperature indicator is adherent to Hair Collection Card.
- If the temperature indicator turns from white to black, it must be discarded. Email Daniel Alain at info@dalabs360.com to request a replacement kit
- The laboratory may not be able to process your sample. If this happens, we will notify you by email and provide you with one free replacement kit to provide us with a new sample.
- The MRT report does not diagnose any health conditions or provide medical advice. Consult with a healthcare professional before making any major lifestyle changes or if you have any concerns about your results.
- MRT is a laboratory developed test. Based on clinical studies the assay sensitivity is approximately 100% and specificity is 75%. MRT has 95.9% accuracy in ruling-out non responders to topical Minoxidil.
